Aqaba is Jordan's only Red Sea port city, offering over 30 named dive sites along a compact coastline. From shallow coral pinnacles and easy shore entries to a remarkable collection of purpose-sunk wrecks — including a freighter, aircraft, military vehicles and a submerged military museum — Aqaba compresses an entire Red Sea diving world into one accessible destination.

Aqaba is Jordan's only Red Sea coastline and compresses the country's entire dive offering into one destination along roughly 25 km of coast.Cedar Pride is a 1,161-ton Lebanese freighter purpose-sunk in 1985 and now heavily colonized by soft coral, making it one of the oldest artificial reefs in the Red Sea.Aqaba's artificial-reef collection includes an M42 Duster anti-aircraft vehicle, a C-130 Hercules transport aircraft, an L-1011 Tristar wide-body jet, and an arranged Underwater Military Museum.Kiwi Reef combines seagrass beds and coral heads, making it a macro-photography counterpoint to Aqaba's famous wide-angle wrecks, with seahorses, nudibranchs and ghost pipefish.Rainbow Reef is a popular night dive where Spanish dancers, lobsters, moray eels and feather stars emerge after dark.ASEZA's Aqaba Marine Reserve rules prohibit removing organisms, shells, coral, rocks or sediment, and fishing is banned within the reserve boundaries.Aqaba's shore diving gives beginner divers access to wrecks and coral gardens that in most Red Sea destinations would require a boat trip.
