Safety Acknowledgment

Effective date: 2026-06-04 · Version 1.1

Scuba diving carries inherent risks, including but not limited to decompression sickness, drowning, equipment failure, marine life encounters, and injury or death.

By using DivePass, I represent and warrant that:

  1. I hold a current scuba certification at the level required for the dives I log or plan.
  2. I am medically fit to dive and have no condition that would make diving unsafe.
  3. I use properly maintained equipment that is appropriate for the dive.
  4. I am solely responsible for all dive decisions — including but not limited to depth, time, gas mix, dive partner, and entry/exit points.
  5. DivePass is a logbook and directory only. It does not supervise dives, verify my credentials, recommend dive plans, or guarantee any operator's safety practices.
  6. I knowingly and voluntarily assume all inherent risks of scuba diving. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, I agree not to hold DivePass, the DivePass service, or the persons operating it liable for any injury, death, loss, or damage arising from the inherent risks of diving or from any Operator's acts or omissions. This does not waive, limit, or release any liability that cannot lawfully be waived — including liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud.

I confirm I have read and agree to this Safety Acknowledgment, separately from the Terms of Service.

This acknowledgment supplements, but does not replace, the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
